Madhesh CM calls for strict enforcement of meat and alcohol ban in Janakpurdham



KATHMANDU: Madhesh Province Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has issued a stern warning against the production, sale, and consumption of meat and alcohol within the Parikrama road of Janakpurdham.

During a meeting with media representatives in Janakpurdham today, Chief Minister Singh urged residents and visitors to respect the area’s religious and cultural significance by refraining from such activities.

“To preserve the religious and cultural traditions of Janakpurdham, I appeal to everyone to comply with the prohibitions. Relevant authorities must strictly enforce these provisions, and violators will face appropriate action,” said Singh.

The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of maintaining the sanctity and dignity of the holy site, emphasizing that no compromise would be made in ensuring adherence to the rules.
