PM Oli meets Nepali women’s football team in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli met with the players of the Nepali Women’s National Football Team at his official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday.

Sharing a photo from the meeting on Facebook, Prime Minister Oli said, “On Laxmi Puja day, I am honored to be with the Laxmis of Nepali football.”

This meeting followed the team’s performance in the SAFF Women’s Championship final, where Nepal faced Bangladesh on Wednesday evening, ending the match with a score of 2-1 and finishing as runners-up.

Prime Minister Oli also attended the match at Dashrath Stadium. Despite the loss, he praised the Nepali women players for their commendable performance in a Facebook post on Wednesday night.
