National football player Sabitra leaves for France



KATHMANDU: With the concluding of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship held in Nepal, Nepali National Team forward Sabitra Bhandari left here for France today to play in commercial football.

Nepal was limited to runner-up team after it was defeated by Bangladesh 2-1 in the final match held on Wednesday at Tripureshwor-based Dasharath Stadium.

With this, Bangladesh lifted the title for the second time in the SAFF Championship.

This is the sixth time Nepal lost the match in the final game of SAFF Championship. Sabitra, who has been playing football for a French club, came to Nepal to play SAFF Championship from the national team.
