Dahal urges for timely conduct of 10th National Games

SURKHET: Former Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has stressed the importance of holding the 10th National Games on schedule.

After inspecting the Karnali Province Stadium in Surkhet today, Dahal affirmed that the games should proceed as planned in Surkhet.

He warned that any attempt to postpone the event would be disastrous for thousands of athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Dahal expressed confidence that the stadium will become a focal point for sports in western Nepal and contribute significantly to the development of athletes.

The inspection was attended by former Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, former Sports Minister Bimala KC, Member-Secretary of the Karnali Sports Council Bishwamitra Sanjyal, and other officials.

In a separate note, Dahal congratulated bronze medalist Palesha Govardhan and other athletes participating in the Paris Paralympics 2024.

He highlighted Palesha’s historic achievement as a source of national pride.
