CIAA arrests two civil engineers from Tourism Development Project Unit on bribery charges



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has apprehended two civil engineers working at the Tourism Development Project Unit Office in Kathmandu for allegedly accepting bribes from customers.

According to CIAA sources, the engineers, Rajan Kumar Bhattarai and Sanjay Aryal, were arrested at the new Baneshwor office premises.

They stand accused of accepting bribes from service recipients to expedite the payment process for temple construction.

CIAA is investigating further for details.
