PM Dahal urges Maoist Center lawmakers to advocate for Budget 2024/25

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has urged party lawmakers to voice their support for the budget presented by the government in the federal parliament on May 28.

Speaking at the party’s parliamentary meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday, the Maoist Chair defended the government’s policies and programs as progressive. He encouraged lawmakers to emphasize the strengths of the budget tabled by the party-led government.

Maoist Center Chief Whip, Hitraj Pandey, stated that lawmakers are engaging in discussions on various aspects of the budget during the meeting.

Finance Minister and Maoist Center leader, Barshaman Pun, unveiled the budget for the fiscal year 2081-82 on Tuesday.

Discussion on the budget is set to commence in the federal parliament starting from Sunday onwards.
