KATHMANDU: In a crucial encounter of the ICC U19 Men’s World Cup Super Six stage, Nepal faced an early setback, losing three wickets in the powerplay against Bangladesh.

The match, which saw Nepal batting after winning the toss, took a challenging turn for the team.

Bipin Rawal, one of the openers, was dismissed after scoring just two runs in 3.5 overs.

The struggles continued as Aakash Tripathi lost his wicket in 7.5 overs, contributing only three runs.

The woes deepened with Arjun Kumal, another opening batsman, getting caught out after scoring 14 runs in 8.3 overs.

Currently, the captain of the U19 Nepali Men National Team, Dev Khanal, and Bishal Bhikram KC are on the crease, striving to stabilize the innings.

In the powerplay, Nepal managed to score 35 runs but lost three crucial wickets, intensifying the pressure on the team.
