Select areas in Kathmandu to face power outage today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power cuts in several areas of Kathmandu today.

In a notice issued by the NEA, power will be temporarily shut off in areas served by the Maharajgunj Distribution Center.

The affected areas include Bansbari, Chakrapath, Samakhusi, Tokha Road, Greenland Chowk, Grande Hospital, and others connected to the Basundhara feeder of the Maharajgunj Distribution Center.

The power outage will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

According to NEA, power cuts are necessary for the expansion and repair of cable lines in these areas.
