GORKHA: A Scorpio jeep mishap in Sahid Lakhan-3, Ghorswaran, Gorkha has killed one on Saturday afternoon.
According to District Police Office, Gorkha, a Scorpio Ga1 Cha 7619, traveling towards Manakamana from Nawalparasi East met with an accident today.
The deceased has been identified as Shobhakar Gaire, aged 45, from Binay Triveni Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi East.
He succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the accident while undergoing treatment at the Tanahun-based Aanbukhairini Hospital.
The incident occurred when the jeep lost control while climbing a steep road and overturned into a drain beside the road.
The driver of the Scorpio, Begbahadur Kshetri, aged 47, has been taken into police custody.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, the police said.
