Five die as taxi plunges into Trishuli River



CHITWAN: A heartbreaking incident occurred this morning as a taxi met with a fatal accident, plunging into the Trishuli river. The accident claimed the lives of five individuals, including two men, two women, and a baby girl.

According to the District Police Office in Chitwan, the identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.

The unfortunate event took place around 7:15 AM near the Simaldhara area of Ichchha Kamana Rural Municipality-5 along the Prithvi Highway.

Reports suggest that the taxi, bearing registration number Ba 2 Ja 4196, was traveling from Kathmandu to Gorkha when it tragically veered off the road and fell approximately 80 meters into the river.
