Shekhar Koirala calls for unified effort to ensure govt success

JANAKPURDHAM: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has emphasized the need for all political parties to work responsibly to ensure the success of the current government.

Speaking at a press conference in Janakpurdham, Dr. Koirala stated that the government was formed in alignment with the spirit of the constitution and expressed confidence that it would succeed before stepping down.

He highlighted that the government emerged from an agreement between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML during a time of political instability that was hindering the country’s development.

Dr. Koirala warned that if the government fails, the nation could slide into anarchy, stressing that the current government must succeed at all costs.

He also affirmed that the Nepali Congress is prepared to contest the upcoming elections independently, asserting that there are no internal divisions within the party.
