KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to extend the investigation time limit for Durga Prasai by an additional 5 days.

The court issued the order on Friday, allowing further time for the ongoing investigation.

It should be noted that the Kathmandu District Court had on November 24 granted permission to keep Prasai, medical entrepreneur arrested in connection with cybercrime, in custody for an additional five days to facilitate further investigation.

Prasai was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) at his residence in Bhaktapur on November 19, under charges of spreading false and defamatory information about Prime Minister KP Oli.
