ANFA to sell tickets directly for SAFF Women’s Championship final

KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to sell tickets directly for the SAFF Women’s Championship final match, citing security concerns.

ANFA made the announcement during a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Tickets will be available on Wednesday at Jawalakhel Ground, the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, and outside the Army Headquarters gate in Bhadrakali.

According to ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah, tickets for the Nepal-India semifinal match were sold beyond the stadium’s seating capacity, prompting ANFA to take control of ticket sales for the final.

Mount Everest Sports and Events Pvt. Ltd. had previously obtained the ticketing rights for the SAFF Championship through a tender process for 8 million rupees.

However, ANFA has now canceled the tickets sold by the company for the final and requested refunds to ticket holders.

ANFA has announced that only 11,000 general tickets and 1,000 VIP tickets will be sold.

The SAFF Women’s Championship final between Nepal and Bangladesh is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM on Wednesday.
