KATHMANDU: The road blocked by a landslide at the Jhayple Khola in Dhading has been reopened after the removal of 35 bodies from four vehicles buried in the disaster over the weekend.

Security personnel, including the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police, worked to clear the debris and restore the Kathmandu-Mugling road section.

Among the vehicles buried in the landslide were a winger, two buses, and a van traveling toward Kathmandu from various regions.

Authorities have confirmed that the road is now free of blockages and traffic has resumed. To manage traffic congestion, vehicles had been rerouted via the Nagdhunga-Sisnekhola tunnel since Saturday morning.
