World Cup Qualifier: Saudi Arabia to host Nepal vs. UAE match

KATHMANDU: The World Cup qualifier match between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates, initially scheduled to be played at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, will now take place in Saudi Arabia.

The match is part of the second round of qualifier matches, scheduled for June 6.

The venue change comes after the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) raised concerns about the physical infrastructure, pitch conditions, floodlights, and overall security at Dasharath Stadium.

The match will now be held at Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, at 7 PM local time (9:45 PM NST) on June 6, according to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
