KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ underscored that economic empowerment stands as the cornerstone of women’s empowerment.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 7th International Women’s Business Fair organized by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs in Lalitpur district, the Prime Minister expressed that compared to the past, Nepalese women are gradually gaining strength and status.

He stressed the importance of collective support for women’s empowerment, highlighting the need to expand financial access as a primary step in today’s world.

He assured that the government has accorded top priority to this cause and informed attendees about ongoing tax exemptions and concessions for industries and businesses led by women.

Additionally, he pledged to enhance these initiatives in the future.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting industries spearheaded by women through tax breaks and other favorable arrangements, which will be further augmented in the days ahead.
