KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, while addressing the policy and program and budget implementation review program for FY 2080/081, acknowledged the growing uneasiness stemming from the government’s inability to meet its targeted results.

Expressing his concern, Prime Minister Dahal admitted that the current situation is both complex and challenging.

“We started with great enthusiasm to function as this cabinet should, aiming for good governance, social justice, and prosperity. For about a year, there were assurances that we were on the right path. However, upon reaching this review, my restlessness has increased,” he stated.

He emphasized the government’s initial commitment to showing results by introducing innovative approaches in service and development.

However, he lamented the current discrepancy between the intended outcome and the actual progress.

Prime Minister Dahal observed a growing sense of restlessness not only among ministers but also among secretaries, from the Minister to the Chief Secretary.

“The government is encountering numerous hurdles and difficulties in making decisions and implementing them,” he disclosed, shedding light on the challenges faced in the pursuit of effective governance and development.
