KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has announced that it will be closed from October 31 to November 4 in observance of the Tihar festival.
The court’s administration branch issued a notice on Monday regarding the holiday closure.
Despite the general closure, the notice specifies that, in accordance with Section 26 of the Judicial Administration Act, 2016, hearings on habeas corpus petitions will continue on non-festival days during this period, except on Bhaitika and Saturday.
For these hearings, the court will remain open from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
