KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council (JC) has recommended the names of Chief Returning Officers and Returning Officers to oversee the by-election scheduled for December 1.
The Council has submitted its recommendations to the Election Commission for appointing Chief Returning Officers in 31 districts.
Additionally, District Court Kathmandu judge Ram Prasad Sharma has been proposed as a Justice of the newly established Consumer Court, with Genendra Raj Regmi recommended as a member.
Furthermore, the Council has nominated district court judges as Returning Officers for the by-elections in six local government units.
