Legal action for flying kites, drones, and balloons Near TIA

KATHMANDU: Authorities at Tribhuvan International Airport have issued warning against the flying of kites, drones, balloons, and laser lights in the vicinity of the airport, citing serious threats to flight safety.

Jagannath Niraula, the Airport Chief and General Manager, has urged the public to refrain from such activities. With the major festivals like Dashain and Tihar approaching,  kite and balloon flying have typically increased in the surrounding areas.

“These activities can severely impact the safety of aircraft. We have issued repeated warnings, and any violation will lead to strict legal consequences under the prevailing laws,” Niraula stated.
