KATHMANDU: The government has announced plans to lift the ban on marijuana and to initiate the branding of local alcohols.

Unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2024/25, Finance Minister Barsa Man Pun stated that the government will formulate laws to lift the ban on marijuana.

Additionally, the government plans to start branding locally available alcohols.
