Opposition parties meeting ahead of parliament session

KATHMANDU: The opposition parties are scheduled to hold a meeting on Tuesday morning ahead of the parliament session.

The meeting is set for 11 AM at the Federal Parliament building to discuss their approach to the session where the government will unveil the budget for the fiscal year 2024/25.

The meeting will also address the agreements reached with the ruling alliance on forming a probe committee to investigate the cooperative fraud case.

The opposition parties have been supporting the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, in its demand for a probe committee, suspecting the involvement of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the fraud case.
