Nepal to bowl first against West Indies ‘A’ in second T20 match

KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to face off against West Indies ‘A’ in the second T20 cricket match at Kirtipur today.

Having won the toss, the visiting team has chosen to bat first, prompting Nepal to take to the field and bowl first.

Following their victorious debut at the TU International Cricket Ground on Saturday, Nepal enters today’s match with renewed confidence.

In the series opener, Nepal impressively chased down West Indies’ formidable target of 205 runs, securing victory with four wickets to spare.

The spotlight of the previous match was undoubtedly on Nepal’s captain, Rohit Kumar Paudel, whose spectacular century propelled the team towards triumph.

While opener Anil Shah laid the groundwork with a brief innings of 5 runs off 9 balls, it was Paudel’s blazing knock of 112 runs from just 54 deliveries, featuring 6 sixes and 10 fours, that stole the show and enthralled spectators.

Although Kushal Bhurtel and Kushal Malla contributed brief resistance with 16 runs each, the rest of Nepal’s lineup faced challenges in making significant contributions.

With expectations running high after their remarkable performance in the previous match, Nepal’s fans eagerly anticipate another thrilling encounter on the cricket field as the stage is set for the second showdown against West Indies ‘A’.
