KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing against West Indies ‘A’ at the second T20 cricket match today in Kirtipur today.

Following their victorious stride in the inaugural match at the TU International Cricket Ground on Saturday, Nepal braces for another match with high spirits.

The match is set to kick off at 1 PM local time, marking the second encounter in the five-match T20 series against West Indies.

In a captivating display of skill and determination in the series opener, Nepal secured a remarkable win, chasing down West Indies’ formidable target of 205 runs with four wickets in hand.

The spotlight of the match shone brightly on Nepal’s captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, whose stunning century propelled Nepal towards triumph.

Facing the challenge after West Indies elected to bat first, Nepal’s pursuit began with opener Anil Shah, who, though departing early after scoring just 5 runs off 9 balls, laid the groundwork for the thrilling chase.

Kushal Bhurtel, the other opener, showcased brief resistance before succumbing to the West Indies bowlers, contributing 16 runs from 12 deliveries.

However, it was Paudel who stole the show with his remarkable century.

His blazing innings of 112 runs from 54 balls, adorned with 6 sixes and 10 fours, not only anchored Nepal’s chase but also enthralled the spectators.

While Dipendra Singh Airee added a crucial 24 runs and Kushal Malla chipped in with 16, the rest of Nepal’s lineup struggled to make significant contributions.
