KATHMANDU: Urmila Aryal, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, has tendered her resignation from her position.

Aryal submitted her resignation letter to Chairman Narayan Dahal.

Her decision comes amid reports of her discontent following the selection of Dahal as the Chairman by CPN (Maoist Center).

Previously, the newly formed coalition had agreed to allocate the Chairman’s position to CPN (Maoist Center).

Consequently, the new Vice Chairman will also be chosen from members of the ruling alliance.

With the recent inclusion of CPN (Unified Socialist) into the coalition, the party is expected to secure the Vice Chairman’s post.
