Itahari Gold Cup: Tribhuvan Army into the final

ITAHARI: Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) has entered the final of the 14th Itahari Gold Cup.

In the semi-final match held on Wednesday under lights, TAC defeated defending champion Sagarmatha Club in a penalty shootout by 2-1.

The match was decided through a penalty shootout after both sides failed to score within the regulation time.

Fatteman Ghale and Ripu Bhulan scored for the TAC while Diwakar Chaudhary was the only one to score for Sagarmatha Club.

TAC goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu was declared the man of the match, to win a cash prize of 10,000 rupees.

The second semi-final match tonight will be held between last year’s runner-up Church Boys United and the host Rastriya Jagriti Club.

The final match of the tournament will be played under lights this coming Saturday.
