KATHMANDU: The ongoing standing committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center), which commenced on Tuesday, is set to reconvene today for further discussions and deliberations.

According to Devendra Poudel, the party’s secretary, today’s agenda includes finalizing the distribution of responsibilities among party leaders and engaging in crucial discussions regarding the appointment of the Chairman of the National Assembly.

Additionally, preparations are underway within the party to reorganize its provincial leadership.

During Tuesday’s session, many party leaders emphasized the need to reassess the alliance with the Nepali Congress and other coalition partners.

Furthermore, there was a consensus among the party leaders not to relinquish the position of the National Assembly Chair to the Nepali Congress.

Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is expected to present his perspective during today’s meeting, which is anticipated to address key strategic decisions and future directions for the party.
