KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has issued a warning regarding the prevailing impact of westerly winds in Nepal.

Presently, the hilly regions are experiencing clear weather, while the rest of the country is under partly to mostly cloudy conditions.

Notably, plain areas such as Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces are grappling with fog and mist.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with the likelihood of snowfall in select high hilly and Himalayan areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

During the night, there is a potential for light snowfall in the hilly terrains of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, along with scattered light snow in specific high hills and Himalayan regions.

In light of these weather conditions, the Division has emphasized the importance of taking necessary precautions to combat the cold.

With temperatures expected to drop due to fog, mist, and snow, it is imperative for individuals to safeguard themselves against the chilly weather.
