KATHMANDU: Continuous rain over the past two days has resulted in flooding in the rivers of Kathmandu.

The riverbanks in areas such as Shivapuri, Sundarijal, and Godavari have been severely affected.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the water levels in the Bagmati River have surpassed danger levels, particularly in Khokana, Gaurighat, and Balkhu.

Additionally, flooding in the Balambu and Bishnumati rivers has also exceeded safety thresholds at Gongabu Bus Park in Kathmandu.

As water levels continue to rise, authorities have urged residents in low-lying areas to exercise caution.

The Weather Forecast Division has warned that rain is expected to persist for several more days.
