Rajesh Kaji Shrestha elected Chairman of ICC Nepal unopposed

KATHMANDU: Rajesh Kaji Shrestha has been elected Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Nepal.

Shrestha was elected unopposed during a Special General Assembly held on Tuesday at Hotel Solti in Kalimati, Kathmandu.

In his address to the assembly, the newly elected Chairman vowed to play a significant role in promoting tourism, facilitating imports, and mediating business-related disputes, both domestic and international.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration with the government, banks, financial institutions, employers, and other stakeholders.

Alongside Chairman Shrestha, ICC Nepal also elected its office bearers and working committee members.

The mission of ICC is to ensure that business works for everyone, every day, and everywhere by promoting open international trade and investment systems that foster peace, prosperity, and opportunity for all.

The combined networks of the ICC national committee and the World Chambers Federation span over 170 countries, representing more than 45 million businesses ranging from SMEs to large multinational corporations.

Neutrality and independence are key factors that enable ICC to build trusted relationships with policymakers and international organizations, which are crucial for facilitating cross-border commerce.
