RSP Central Committee meeting underway

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has commenced at the party’s central office in Banasthali.

Today’s agenda features a discussion on the disciplinary action against Dr. Mukul Dhakal, who was previously removed from his positions as General Secretary, Spokesperson, and central member.

The committee will decide whether to expel Dhakal from his remaining role as an ordinary member.

Dhakal is accused of undermining the party’s interests.

Following the by-elections in Ilam, he visited several districts and prepared a critical review report on party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane’s management and working style.

This internal report was allegedly leaked to the media, resulting in Dhakal’s dismissal from his previous roles.

In addition to Dhakal’s case, the meeting will address contemporary issues such as the operational procedures for the shadow government, organizational strengthening, and expansion plans.
