Heavy rainfall expected in Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Provinces

KATHMANDU: Light to moderate rainfall has been occurring in several places across Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a few isolated showers reported in other regions this morning.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology attributes this to the active Monsoon winds across the country.

The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the day, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas, particularly in Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Other parts of the country may experience light to moderate rain.

Tonight, the forecast predicts partly to mostly cloudy skies, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

A few locations in the remaining provinces may also experience showers. This information was provided in the department’s morning bulletin today.
