KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Mayors’ Forum has declared a public holiday on Sunday to mourn the death of Kirtipur municipality mayor, Raj Kumar Nakarmi.
The Forum announced that the holiday will be observed at all local levels in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur districts.
The decision was made to honor Nakarmi, who passed away recently.
Raj Kumar Nakarmi, born on Asar 20, 2021 BS, was known as a development-oriented social worker.
He was elected as the mayor of Kirtipur under the Nepali Congress party during the local elections of 2079 BS.
