Dhakal’s suggestions on party commendable: Rabi Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has appreciated party General Secretary Dr. Mukul Dhakal’s recent suggestions following his nationwide review trip.

Lamichhane, also serving as Home Minister, expressed optimism regarding Dhakal’s remarks during a media interaction on Thursday morning.

Responding to queries from journalists about Dhakal’s concerns over the party’s current state and the need for operational adjustments, Lamichhane stated, “He (Dhakal) has shown genuine concern for our party. After conducting a thorough review and gathering feedback from citizens, he emphasized the importance of proper treatment rather than drastic measures. This approach is reassuring and aligns with our expectations.”

Following a significant setback in the Ilam by-elections, the RSP dispatched Dhakal on a comprehensive internal review tour.

After engaging with over 2079 citizens across 38 districts, Dhakal returned to Kathmandu and submitted his findings to Chairman Lamichhane the following day, warning of a potential party crisis.
