47.86 percent pass; 186 students achieve GPA of 4

KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has published the results of this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) today.

According to the results released by the Board, out of 444,785 students who took the examination, only 47.86% passed. The NEB also reported that 186 students achieved a GPA of 4.

The NEB said only 242,920 students are eligible to study in Grade 11.

Among the examinees, 52.14% were non-graded (NG).

This year marked the first implementation of a new policy where students who did not score at least 35% in the theoretical (written) portion of each subject were classified as ungraded (non-graded).

According to the Board, these results were published in accordance with the guidelines of the Letter Grading Guideline-2078 for students who took the SEE exam under the new syllabus for the first time.

The result was initially planned to be released on Wednesday.

However, due to technical issues, the announcement was postponed for today.

A total of 467,000 students participated in the regular SEE examinations, which began on March 28, and an additional 21,000 students participated in the grade improvement exams.
