UML demands written apology from NC for allegations against Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU: The main party in the ruling coalition, CPN-UML, has demanded a written public apology from the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), for the allegations made against its Chairman KP Oli.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting of top leaders from both the ruling and opposition parties at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Poudel stated that NC must issue a written apology and publicly apologize for the baseless accusations against Chairman Oli.

“NC has been making politically motivated and biased accusations against our Chairman Oli,” Poudel said, adding, “It must issue a written apology for these allegations and publicly apologize.”

Poudel also accused NC of not showing sincerity in addressing national issues and warned that if NC does not retract its statements, UML will respond accordingly.

“Recent events indicate that NC is not in favor of any agreement. They are trying to disrupt national politics with inappropriate and prejudiced accusations,” the UML Vice Chairman said, adding, “They are making vindictive and baseless accusations against UML. It is necessary for them to retract such slander.”
