KATHMANDU: Over 1,600 individuals have confirmed their participation in the upcoming third Nepal Investment Summit, set to commence on Sunday.

The Office of the Investment Board of Nepal has revealed that invitations were extended to over 2,400 individuals. Participants from 55 countries will attend the Summit, with 385 representing Nepal.

China will be prominently represented with 265 participants, followed by 143 from India, 33 from the US, 28 from Japan, 14 from the UK, 13 from Bangladesh and the UAE respectively, and 10 from Germany.

Additionally, nine participants each will arrive from South Korea, Australia, and Malaysia, eight from Pakistan, six from Singapore, and five each from Qatar and Ghana.

Representatives from Saudi Arabia, France, and Bahrain will be four each, while three participants each will come from Switzerland, Finland, Russia, Austria, Sri Lanka, and Colombia.

Two participants each are expected from the Philippines, Kuwait, Canada, Mauritius, Belarus, and Belgium.

Participation has also been confirmed from Egypt, Italy, Norway, Senegal, the Netherlands, Poland, Indonesia, Tajikistan, South Africa, Romania, Mexico, and Cyprus.

Additionally, Ireland, Slovenia, Vietnam, Bosnia, Morocco, Turkey, Vanuatu, Mauritania, and Hong Kong will be represented.

The Summit will showcase a total of 150 projects across 23 stalls, with 19 projects specifically seeking letters of intent in preparation for the event.

The first day will include an opening session followed by two major sessions, while the second and final day will feature 11 parallel sessions.
