Unified Socialist nominates Rai and Singh as candidates for by-elections

KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) has finalized its candidates for the forthcoming by-elections in Ilam-2 and Bhajang-1, marking a significant step in their electoral preparations.

The party has selected Jeet Bahadur Rai as its candidate for Ilam-2 and Dil Bahadur Singh for Bhajang-1, as confirmed by a prominent party leader.

Jeet Bahadur Rai had previously served as the Chairman of Maijogmai Rural Municipality after his election in 2074.

With the by-elections slated for April 27 in Ilam and Bhajang, political parties are intensifying their efforts to solidify their positions.

While the CPN-UML has already nominated Suhang Nembang, the son of late party leader Subhash Nembang, as its candidate, other major parties such as the CPN (Maoist Center), Nepali Congress, and Rastriya Swatantra Party are yet to finalize their candidates for the election.
