CPN Maoist holds warning rally in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The opposition party, CPN-Maoist Centre, has started a warning rally against the government’s missteps and to highlight essential actions that need to be taken in Kathmandu.

The march, organized by the Bagmati Province, Valley Specal, Special Provincial Coordination Committee, started from Sundhara and will proceed through Ratna Park and Bagbazar before culminating at Exhibition Road, where Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and other leaders will address the crowd.

This 10-point agenda protest aims to draw attention to various issues, including inadequate disaster response, obstruction to good governance efforts, unchecked corruption, rising prices, and privatization concerns.

The party also demands action against major corruption scandals, a focus on employment and social justice, and safeguards for Nepal’s sovereignty and unity.

The Maoist Centre intends to press for these actions as a call for accountability and reform.
