PM Oli pledges zero tolerance for corruption
Prime Minister KP Oli asserted that his government is committed to avoiding corruption and will not engage in bribery.
Speaking at the inauguration of the District Police Complex in Kathmandu on Monday, Oli stated, “This government will consume bread, not bribes.”
He emphasized that his administration will not prosecute anyone unjustly and urged officials to work with confidence.
Krishna Janmasthami observed today
Since early this morning, devotees flocked to the Krishna Temple in Patan, Lalitpur, to worship Lord Krishna on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
Devotees of the Vedic Sanatan Hindu religion celebrated ‘Sri Krishna Janmashtami’—the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna—with great reverence and devotion across the country today.
Lord Krishna, who is revered as the pioneer of Knowledge Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga, was born at midnight on Bhadrakrishna Ashtami during the Dwapar era.
SAFF U-20: Bangladesh beats India; to face Nepal in final

Mayor Balen opposes construction near Bagmati, Bishnumati, and Tukucha rivers
Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Shah (Balen), has urged party leaders and workers to avoid spreading confusion regarding construction regulations around the Bagmati, Bishnumati, and Tukucha rivers.
He emphasized that, according to the court order, no new structures can be erected in these areas.
Mayor Shah stated that the city avoid misleading the public about the restrictions on construction around these rivers.

Prime Minister KP Oli has directed the Nepal Police, which bears significant responsibility for maintaining peace and security in the country, to remain vigilant in preventing untoward incidents.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of proactive measures. He instructed the police to predict, investigate, and take stringent actions against crimes.
Prime Minister Oli stressed that the current government will not intervene to prevent the arrest of criminals or accused individuals, nor will it seek to frame innocent people.
Gold traded at Rs 152,300 per tola today
Gold price decerased by Rs 100 per tola in the Nepali market today (Monday).
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Federation, the price of gold has increased by 100 rupees per tola, reaching 152,300 rupees today.
The price of gold was Rs 152,400 on Friday.
Additionally, the price of silver decreased by 10 rupees per tola, and it is now being traded at 1,840 rupees per tola, according to the Federation.
UML General Secretary Pokharel advocates for reforms to strengthen democracy
CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has proposed that parliamentarians from parties unable to achieve national status should be granted independent status to strengthen democracy.
Speaking at a meeting at the Central Office in Chyasal on Monday, Pokharel emphasized the need for amendments to existing laws and the constitution to address the issue of small, less influential parties.
Pokharel suggested that implementing such reforms could reduce the number of parties in Nepal.
