NEPSE declines by 22.14 points on Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) decreased by 1.03 percent on Sunday, marking the first trading day of the week.

Compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE remained steady at 2109, despite a decline of 22.14 points.

The market had been steadily increasing for the past five trading days.

NEPSE also witnessed a decline in transaction amount.

Trading worth Rs 4.44 billion occurred throughout the day.

While the share price of 29 companies increased, the price of 215 companies witnessed a decline, whereas three remained stable.

The hotel and tourism sector saw the most significant increase at 3.37 percent.

Other sectors experienced decreases: banking by 0.87, development banks by 1.16, finance by 2.19, hydropower by 1.62, investment by 1.4, life insurance by 0.8, manufacturing by 0.86, microfinance by 1.78, non-life insurance by 1.01, others by 0.89, and trading groups by 1.23 percent.

Based on business turnover, IME Life Insurance, CEDB Hydro Fund, First Microfinance, Nabil Bank, and Soaltee Hotel were in the lead, respectively.
