Top leaders meeting to finalize probe committee’s TOR



KATHMANDU; Top leaders from major political parties are holding a meeting today to finalize the terms of reference (ToR) for the parliamentary probe committee assigned to investigate the cooperative fund embezzlement case.

The leaders are expected to conclude the ToR after a task force meeting on Saturday failed to make significant progress.

According to Jeevan Pariyar, Joint General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, an agreement was reached to reconvene on Sunday.

Following the task force meeting, top leaders and task force members discussed the issues, with Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, and Nepali Congress Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka among those in attendance.
