President of China’s CIDCA meets PM Dahal



KATHMANDU: Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Luo Zhaohui, held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today.

Prime Minister’s Foreign Advisor, Dr. Rupak Sapkota, said that during the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, discussions revolved around Nepal’s economic development and the forthcoming investment conference.

During the interaction, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the deepening ties between Nepal and China, citing recent high-level exchanges and the accelerated pace of bilateral agreements’ implementation.

“The operationalization of additional border crossings between Nepal and China has notably eased the lives of border communities,” expressed the Prime Minister, noting Chinese investors’ keen interest in Nepal’s upcoming investment conference.

Zhaohui conveyed Chinese investors’ eagerness to contribute to Nepal’s development, particularly in the realms of electricity transmission line construction and the feasibility study for the Tokha-Chhahare tunnel.

The meeting witnessed the participation of Prime Minister’s Foreign Advisor Dr. Sapkota, Nepali Ambassador to China Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song, and other dignitaries.
