Nepal clinches series over Ireland Wolves



KATHMANDU: Nepal has clinched the series against Ireland Wolves with a clean sweep lead.

In the second match on Tuesday, Nepal defeated Ireland Wolves by 71 runs, securing the series with a 2-0 lead.

Ireland Wolves, chasing Nepal’s target of 199 runs, was bowled out for 127 runs in 18.3 overs.

For Ireland Wolves, Stephen Doheny scored the highest with 26 runs, while Morgan Topping contributed 21 runs.

Similarly, Nepali bowlers Sompal Kami and Kushal Malla took three wickets each, while Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel, and Vivek Yadav claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Nepal, batting first, scored 198 runs, losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, Gulshan Jha scored the highest with 46 runs, followed by Kushal Malla 34, Anil Sah 12, Kushal Bhurtel 25, Aasif Sheikh 11, Captain Rohit Paudel 33, Sandeep Jora 21, and Bibek Yadav 7.

In response, Ireland Wolves’ Matthew Foster took 3 wickets, while Ben White took 2, and Fionn Hand and Gavin Hoey took one wicket each.

With this victory, Nepal has won the series 2-0.
