Case filed against Indreni director Krishna Kandel over alleged sexual misconduct



KATHMANDU: Sharmila Shrestha, a former team member of the renowned television program Indreni, has lodged a case against program director Krishna Kandel, alleging sexual misconduct.

According to Chandra Prakash Panthi, the Information Officer of the Kathmandu District Court, Shrestha submitted the case on Sunday.

Kandel is accused of sending explicit messages from a fake Facebook account and making inappropriate advances toward Sharmila.

Earlier, a week ago, several artists, including Sharmila, were terminated by Indreni.

The dismissed artists have been accusing Kandel of various offenses.

Subsequently, last Friday, Kandel filed a defamation case against six individuals, including Sharmila.
