Patan High Court issues interim order halting eviction of NRNA office in Lalita Niwas
The Patan High Court has issued an interim order preventing the Kathmandu Metropolitan City from vacating the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) office located in the Lalita Niwas premises in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. A single bench of Judge Purushottam Dhakal of the High Court, issued an interim order on Monday preventing the Metropolis from evacuating the NRNA office.
Executive Chairman of Platinum College, Jiwan Gurung, arrested in connection with 14 kg gold smuggling case
Jiwan Kumar Gurung, the Executive Chairman of Platinum College, has been arrested in connection with a gold smuggling case involving 14 kg of gold from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). According to SP Hobindra Bogati, the spokesperson for the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Gurung was arrested in Samakhushi last night.
Gagan Thapa demands probe into controversies surrounding ministers
Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Gagan Thapa has asked the authorities concerned to conduct investigations on ministers and parliamentarians embroiled in disputes. During the zero hour of the House of Representatives, Thapa specifically called for those under scrutiny by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), accused of government land embezzlement, involved in citizenship disputes, and implicated in co-operative fraud, to be temporarily removed from their positions.
NEPSE index records double-digit growth on Monday
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit increase of 13.28 points on Monday, the second trading day of the week. The market which witnessed a double-digit decline on Sunday closed at 1992.30 points today. Today’s trading saw a business turnover of Rs 2,017,739,060 involving 5,988,717 shares of 314 companies.

Senior leader of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP), Rajendra Mahato, has resigned from the party. Mahato, along with Buddhi Chiring Moktan, who advocates for the rights of indigenous communities, has announced a new campaign named “Rastriya Mukti Kranti” (National Liberation Movement).
US Deputy Assistant Secretary Afreen Akhter arrives in Kathmandu

Accident claims life of 17-year-old scooter rider in Lalitpur
A 17-year-old Suhayang Rai died when a tanker with registration number Ba 3 Ka 8585 collided with his scooter bearing number 02-034P 7328 in Mahalakshmi Municipality, Lalitpur on Monday morning. Rai was on his way to Milestone College at Balkumari when the accident occurred, police said.
First National women’s hockey tournament from today
The Madan Bhandari First National Women’s Hockey Tournament kicks off today at Kshireshwarnath Municipality, Ward No. 5 of Dhanusha. NTA Chairman Bhandari under scrutiny for holding shares in company tied to his position
Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) Chairman, Bhupendra Bhandari, has come under scrutiny for holding 1.5 million shares in PayNep Pvt Ltd, a company that is directly linked to his role. Khabarhub has obtained documents revealing that Bhandari purchased 156,000 shares totaling 156,000 rupees in PayNep Pvt Ltd. The shares were acquired within the price range of 161,501 to 317,500 rupees.
