The crash resulted in the deaths of 18 individuals.

So far, the postmortem of seven bodies has been completed at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, according to Dr. Gopal Kumar Chaudhary, Chief of the Foreign Seek Department at the hospital.

“The postmortems of all the victims will be completed by this evening, and the bodies will be handed over to their families on Friday,” said Dr. Chaudhary.

He added that due to severe burns caused by the fire that ensued after the crash, each postmortem is taking approximately four hours.

The tragic accident occurred during the takeoff of a Saurya Airlines flight at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The plane, carrying 19 passengers, all airline staff and technicians, skidded off the runway and caught fire.
