Koshi province govt: SC revokes Kedar Karki’s writ, Hikmat Karki’s govt gets continuation

KATHMMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petition filed by former Chief Minister Kedar Karki against the Koshi Provincial Government.

A full bench comprising Justices Kumar Regmi, Abdul Aziz Musalman, and Nahakul Subedi dismissed the petition after concluding the final hearing on Tuesday.

Had the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the petition, Kedar Karki might have returned as Chief Minister.

However, with the dismissal of the petition, the current Chief Minister Hikmat Bahadur Karki will continue in office.
