NEPSE witnesses a modest increase, heavy decline in finance sector



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a 5-point increase on Tuesday, with significant investor interest in the Hotel and Tourism sector.

The Hotel and Tourism sector experienced a notable rise, gaining 58.81 points today.

In contrast, the Finance sector, which had been on an upward trend for some time, experienced the most significant decline.

The Finance sector dropped by 54.22 points in a single day.

On Tuesday, the total trading volume reached Rs 4.18 billion, with NEPSE rising by 5.60 points to close at 2071.77 points.

A total of 9,435,454 shares were traded, with the Other sector experiencing the least decline.

Out of 319 companies whose shares were traded today, 151 saw an increase in share price, 88 saw a decrease, and 8 companies’ share prices remained stable.
