KASKI: The Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) will be administered to 100,327 children across 11 districts of the Gandaki province.

This vaccination campaign, part of the National Vaccination Program, will run from May 26 to June 8.

The Gandaki Ministry of Social Development and Health announced that 3,453 vaccination centers will be set up, and 6,906 health workers and volunteers will be mobilized for this effort.

Secretary at the Ministry, Binod Bindu Sharma, explained that the IPV vaccine had been unavailable on the world market for over two years.

Therefore, this campaign aims to vaccinate children who missed their scheduled vaccinations during this period.

Secretary Sharma specified that the target age group was determined based on the regular vaccination schedule and the ages of children who were previously unable to receive the vaccine.

Children born between Baisakh 2073 and Asoj 2075 will be eligible for vaccination.
